Overview:
The month of July was marked by emergency response efforts following the devastating fire at Daisy Dube Orphanage Home in Mount Selinda. CVCIP took part in coordinating support and delivering much-needed aid to the affected children.
CVCIP DONATIONS OF 8 MATTRESSES TO THE FIRE GUTTED DAISY DUBE ORPHANAGE HOME.
Key Activities:
1. Emergency Response & Donations to Daisy Dube Orphanage Home:
> Donated 2 bales of clothing,
> 8 cartons of books,
> 1 pack of Eversharp pens,
> 8 mattresses,
> Provided psychosocial support to the fire victims to help them cope with trauma and loss.
2. Coordination & Community Engagement:
> Coordinated efforts in response to the fire incident in partnership with local stakeholders, Miracle Mission Vimba in Harare and The Jesus Initiative Church from Harare.
> Facilitated and accompanied two families one from Harare and the other one from Mutare, to Mount Selinda who made additional donations to the orphanage.

Reflection:
The organisation’s rapid response and community coordination efforts demonstrated our commitment to protecting vulnerable children and supporting recovery in times of crisis and need.
