Introduction:

Chipinge Vulnerable Children Intervention Programme (CVCIP) is a non-governmental charity organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children, widows, and youth in Chipinge and Mutoko Districts.

Success Story:

This month, we intervened in a critical case involving a young boy living with an abusive stepmother. The child had:

- Not collected his Grade 7 results since 2023

- Experienced suicidal thoughts, prompting our counseling intervention.

Intervention:

CVCIP took immediate action:

Cleared the outstanding school fees balance at the child's previous school Collected and handed over the child's Grade 7 results.

Assisted in securing a place at Chipinge High School.

Facilitated a scholarship for the child.

Provided essential educational materials (stationery, school shoes, uniform, satchel).

Donated clothing to support the child's well-being.

Conclusion:

This success story demonstrates CVCIP's commitment to protecting and empowering vulnerable children in our community. We continue to work tirelessly to identify and support those in need.

Recommendations:

We urge stakeholders to collaborate with us in addressing the pressing issues affecting vulnerable children, widows, and youth in Chipinge and Mutoko Districts.
